Lead Capture Forms

A lead capture form is an embeddable web form (typically just email and first name) that collects contact details in exchange for a lead magnet — a free PDF, template, or mini-course. It is the bridge between AI-generated content traffic and a long-term email-list relationship.

AI-generated content drives traffic; lead capture forms convert that traffic into an asset the creator owns (an email list) rather than rented (social media followers). The ROI gap between followers and email subscribers is significant: email subscribers convert to paid offers at 3–8× the rate of social followers, primarily because the inbox is a higher-intent surface than a feed.

Creatara's built-in form builder produces forms with two default fields (email, first name) and an optional unlimited custom field set. Every form has:

- A public URL (creatara.ai/form/{id}) for direct sharing - An embeddable iframe code for external sites (Carrd, WordPress, Substack, Webflow) - GDPR opt-in checkbox and link to privacy policy - Email notification on every new submission (sent via Resend) - Workspace-scoped lead inbox at /dashboard/leads - Webhook integration for ConvertKit, MailerLite, ActiveCampaign, and any tool accepting a generic webhook payload

Conversion benchmarks (across 200+ Creatara Pro users running lead-magnet campaigns): solopreneur landing pages convert at 8–14% (visit → form submission), versus the SaaS average of 2.4%. The lift comes from highly-niched lead magnets generated by AI to match the exact query the visitor came from.

Lead capture without an automated follow-up sequence destroys 60% of potential revenue. Set up at minimum a three-email sequence: (1) magnet delivery (immediate), (2) a useful insight email (day 3), (3) a soft offer (day 7). Use a sequence tool like ConvertKit or MailerLite for this; Creatara handles the capture and the trigger.
